Ehhhh... for those of you that live in Oakville and are tired of not being able to find any good spots.... if you know how to slide stop, have a helmet, and can handle corners, theres some pretty chillen spots on Lower Base Line off of 5th Line..(which connects with 6th AFTER Dundas) It's pretty far out there, you'd have to drive to get to it, but its not a busy road and I can handle it (being a new to longboarding... actually there are parts of it i didn't try, cause it looked rather intimidating...) anyway, some nice runs with small curves... nothing too fancy, i wouldnt suggest going out of your way to get there, but if you're in the area its pretty decient. There are 2 bridges over rivers which are really shitty but can be managed if you handle it right. Scenery is nice tho Cheesy
Msg me if you don't drive, I'm planning on heading out there with a friend early next week and theres 3 spots in my vehicle I'd be happy to fill.

I know its a shitty screen shot. I was in a hurry!
xo!

p.s.

Pavement is only so-so, I was fine with it, but if you're pavement picky then don't even bother. like i said, rarely used road, therefor rarely maintained. This is pretty much for those people in Oakville who are so bored out of their minds with the lack of hills and garages.

if you go to the end of 4th Line, past the golf course towards 16mile creek, there is a sick hill there that ends at somewhat washed out bridge.  the hill is closed to traffic and would be a perfect spot for sliding.  also if you can make it across the bridge at the bottom there is another sweet hill coming down to the washed out bridge.  both are perfect hill for sliding, just be careful because the left side of the road is kinda washing away into the river.  just makes it more GNAR!! Yeah dude, right on!

checked that spot out... its great, and SO steep! Thanks, I had fun on the one side of the hill...however the other side of the hill there is massive erosion going on, with rocks all on the path.. we were thinking about going in there and cleaning it up with brooms n shovels, but i don't know if its really worth it. There are other spots... *shrug* lemme know what you think, if other people are going to be using it, I wouldn't mind spending an afternoon hurling rocks off the side of a small cliff Cheesy

ya, it's pretty hairy there.  I haven't actually skated that hill yet, just walking it and scoping it out, but I felt the same way, would be a sweet run but its really mudy and dirty and if you were to loose your board it would go under the guard rail and into the creek below.

I think it would make an unreal slide comp spot because the road is closed to traffic, very low pedestrian traffic and a sweet ass spot to chill(bbq, swimming in the river, drinking, etc.)

if you end up skating around this area(oakville/burlington) again post up and I'll try and come out and meet up with you guys.  lots of fun runs here in Burlington!!! Yeah dude, right on!
