Lords of Dogtown is one of my favorite movies.  Yeah dude, right on!

I'm not sure what decks they actually used. After the skate team was formed I'm pretty sure they just used fibreglass boards made by Zepher. If you are looking for Z-Boys boards...

thanks a bunch man +1 for you and i like the z-flex boards the best, jay Adams and Stacey Peralta are my favorite skaters of all time and even though Stacey moved on to other things he was still a sick skater, and lords of dog town is my favorite movie as well.

That movie gets its facts wrong all over the place, and is a sappy horrible piece of hoillywood shit, with some BADASS skating in it.

The boards that were being made by the zephyr shop were plastic injection molded in the beginning. As the shop split and the riders went solo, fiberglass ensued.

Ha!

that movie...don't get me started...

I did the book of the film...and worked with Catherine Hardwicke

one day I'll tell the story of that experience...

a lot of the props (decks included) were custom for the film

Dude,
there's a scene in that movie where the kids are cutting their own boards from planks with a hand saw.
You want old school?  I have my own oak deck, hand cut from a plank in shop class back in 1975, and with the roller skate truck marks still on the bottom. It's all about the hand cut hardwood decks and clay roller skate wheels.  Wink
