yee they are dope! i bought a stereo which is made in the same factory as pennys i hear but are like $20 cheaper. they are alot of fun for just getting around and easy to carry around but they take a bit of getting use to how small it is but once you get past that there are alot of fun. definitely worth it http://www.stereovinylcruiser.com/

Yeah, I'll probs get the stereo cruiser, cause it's like the same thing, just cheaper. Where's it made btw?

Banana boards are fun. And nice and compact too. And fairly cheap (though they're mega mega cheap to make, so you kinda get ripped off). Also they feel pretty dead/damp, which some people don't like, but meh.
BUT, if you like making stuff yourself on the cheap, and you want a stiffer or snappier board, you can get a piece of wood and chop a rollerskate in half and slap the trucks onto the board. Good times to be had with that too.

Banana boards do not "give back," i.e. there is no bounce in them. If you compare them to riding the fancy longboards of today, riding a banana board is like riding one rollerskate sideways.
They are slim so your feet will go off the edges and the wheelbase is ridiculously short, all of which makes them sketchy to ride.... which is of course part of their charm. If you can ride a banana board, you can ride anything!
I rode a Penny recently and it was lotsa fun. Installing a toe stop makes them a little easier to control, but some might see this as cheating.

I have a penny Nickel and I have to say it's soooo much fun. Highly recommended. I'd go as far as to say that the nickel would be much more functional over a penny or a stereo just due to it's larger size.

Dont have one but if you are getting one, get the nickel..
and if you are not buying from a Canadian retailer,
buy it from socalskateshop.
It will be probably cheaper that way
