I was wondering when someone was going to come up with a better solution for the GoPro camera case and mounting system, and well, here it is:  http://www.lifeisunruly.com/ It's not for everyone, and it is not cheap, but looks very well engineered.  I like it.  Yeah dude, right on!

this is what banks and licensing is for. if gopro lets him, get the money from a bank and do it. if they like it so much, sell it to them. don't ask for consumer input into manufacturing and development - that's ridiculous. i can't believe people are giving him money.

I was really impressed with that! Really thinking about getting one or both of those cases.

It's true, it is very easy to mount to anything. That's part of appeal of getting a go-pro. But I can't make anything like this. Plastic also has it's limitations. I've broken my casing, and the glass dome surrounding the lens of my go-pro before. Replacing it is a bit tedious because not every store has all the accessories available. It's seems like a protection to keep it from breaking in the first place is a sound investment.

I see your point but IMO the glass lens is a consumable item one scratch and I just replace it I have also broken a few cases but to sacrafise a plastic case to have the camera survive is ok with me !
This case does look far better than the Plastic one it comes with as far as protecting the housing but as I see it offers little to no protection for the lens one scratch on the lens and the camera is toast it is a great idea but before I decide to get one the lens has to be covered with a protective surface that is replaceable like the one on the plastic housing because I have had 10 lenses scratched but only 2 housings ruined.
Just my 2 cents
