If longboarders want to tell the City what needs to be done for LONGBOARDERS in Kingston, NOW would be a good time!

The city's finally getting its ass in gear and moving forward with real money on these updates.

From the city's official public release:

*************************************************************************

WEST 49 LYONS SKATEPARK

A public information session on the relocation and improvements to the West 49 Lyons Skatepark in Polson Park will be held on Wednesday, March 9 in the Polson Park Free Methodist Church hall, 5 Miles Ave., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The City is relocating this park to increase its visibility and prominence. Improvements will be made to the facility to coincide with its relocation.
GRENADIER SKATEPARK (In GRENADIER PARK)

The City is planning a public information session to outline plans and collect input on the proposed relocation and improvement of Grenadier Skatepark, 41 Grenadier Dr.

The session is set for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in the cafeteria of La Salle Secondary School at R.R.#2, 773 Highway 15.

*************************************************************************************************

If a group of you want a ride out to either event, I'd be happy to do a milk run.  Give me a call: 613.547.3552

See you there.

hadn't read this until now. We should have been there, but I hope they realize that longboarders don't typically use skateparks and if the skatepark moving was a bid to reduce longboarders in the dt its not goin to work.
