It's not as if he hasn't ripped off other iconic images before. A few years ago he made a Simpsons line up. The only difference is he actually went to 20th Century Fox to acquire the rights. I don't understand why he wouldn't go through the same process.

This story has been blowing up on the internet so much that it can't be ignored.

The skate community has been on a full on assault over this. There'll probably be legal repercussions, moreover, this guy is getting flamed Big Time. My concern is that it'll show how mean spirited and immature our community can get. Just take a look at Jeremy Scott's facebook page. Do you think this guys deserves what's coming to him?

Taking a bath with epson salts is also good... but if you have road rash as well don't do this because it'll sting like a motherfucker.

Lactic acids have built up in you muscles. That's the reason why you should stretch before and after, hydrate constantly, eat bananas because potassium helps with sore muscles.

Got an idea for a game! It's called DEATHROLLING  Courtesy of Zachasaurus Angry !!!!!

"It's like skateboarding except half the time, someone dies!"

"...so it's safer than skateboarding  Grin"

Two riders go down, while holding a bandanna. Last one holding the bandanna at the finish line wins!

I gotta say, that intersection is extremely dangerous, not just for pedestrians but for cars as well. There is at least one accident there a week!

12  General Category / General Discussion / Re: City of Burlington Proposed fine for Skateboarding, Long Boarding and Street Lug on: September 25, 2012, 10:35:32 PM
This would be nice if the city can pull this together. However, I really don't know where they're going to get the money. Because of this...

http://www.insidehalton.com/insidehalton/article/464650

This whole incident costs the city a ton of money and a ton of bad publicity. In fact, there was a major legal battle between the city and the contractors over who's fault this was. I've skated past this pier for years now and it continues, to this day, to be an eyesore. I think they've only started to fix it this past spring. Still not done... still costing the city millions ...

I really do hope this "Longboard Park" is a reality but if I know my city councillors, it's that they like to talk a lot but hardly anything gets done.

Edit*
After reading Scotty's article further, this whole thing could be a smoke screen to get a by-law passed. My opinion, they're trying to propose a ban with the promise of a new skatepark years down the road. If it does get passed, there's nothing stopping them from pulling the plug on the park. Also, a brand new skate park was recently built and is now in full use. Who's to say they won't turn around and say, "But you have a brand new skate park! Why don't you just use that."

Thread is not over until we hear more about strippers for next year!
14  General Category / General Discussion / Re: BOARD MEETING opening weekend FREE Highway Gospel Screening on: September 22, 2012, 01:19:08 AM
Wait...did Chicken say strippers for next year's BM!? I didn't read anything else after that.

We all have differing opinions and although I don't always agree with everyone on this forum, the thing that brings us all together is skateboarding, and there was certainly plenty of that throughout the course of the weekend. Reading about all those rowdy people in the theatre made me really sad that I didn't get to go. I would certainly be one of those rambunctious yahoos in the theatre, had I been there. This may be difficult for you to understand but some of us are friends here and when you needlessly reprimand one of our friends, we're not bandwagoning, we're simply sticking up for each other cause that's what friends do. Even if they shoot bottle rockets at you when your in mid-slide (*COUGH* McLovin).

Look bud, I don't think I've met you before so I'm not going to speak of anything else except what you've said here. If this was more public and was seen by more people, you can fuck yourself over by 'slandering' or 'defaming' someone's character. Both of those words have legal repercussions. Without proof, all these people you've talked about has within their legal rights to seek legal counselling against you, especially, if what you say prevents everyone you've talked about from getting future jobs or opportunities. I have no clue what 'real concerns'  you may have but your doing yourself a disservice by machine gun-dissing these people and their events. When people see the events that happen, they really only see the tip of the iceberg. No-one can quantify exactly how much work goes into running an event, but it's safe to say it's a shit tone of thankless work.

Back to my original point, if we are to have strippers, I'LL make it rain. Dolla, Dolla, Bills!

HTFU is way more versatile! Set it up as a park, street, cruiser, pumper, tech slider. It's up to you. The Pierre is primarily a slalom deck, If that's all your into. HTFU has more bang for your buck.
