a handful of more reasonably priced brands, obviously not top quality but it's not like they'll snap in half.

Santos pointed this out, switchback longboards is doing free shipping for canadian orders >$25. They have a few decks from different brands for $100 or less.

[you need to use your judgement as to what constitutes a decent deck for your purposes of course] Add $50 for trucks and $50 for wheels, you're at $200. Plus tax and you still have to grip it, mount it, and get bearings.

But you're in the neighbourhood of a couple hundred bucks at least.

oh i just remembered the loaded challenge series! if you don't already know, check out the youtube channel. basically you have to create an account where you make videos of you doing the tricks the adams do (10 tricks to a series) and submit them all and you'll get a huge discount on a complete or deck of your choice. you can do challenge series from the past (the tricks are way easy) and you'll still get a discount (a little less than doing the current series).... so if ur dedicated, you can save mad scrilla on some nicely constructed boards

cheap decent board is pretty much the definition of Sector 9...every one of their completes is under $200 and for that you'll get a board that you can learn to be awesome on and decide if you like skating or not

They give free shipping in Canada, so you wont get charged for shipping and customs.

My first board like many other riders was a Sector 9.  I bought it off Ebay from Cali for something like $150 with shipping.  Crappy trucks and wheels but it rode okay.  Wasn't downhill worthy though more of a beach cruiser.  Good luck finding a decent DH complete for $200.  Save up another 100 and you'll have a better chance at buying something decent.
