Saturday, November 14th (weather permitting)

This has been a little while in the making, so hopefully the weather holds up and we don't have to postpone until the spring. I will try to give 48 hours notice if I'm going to pull the plug due to weather.

Registration will begin at 8AM at Tim Hortons (2420 Homer Watson Blvd, Kitchener, ON)

The Opposable Thumbs Outlaw
The first race will begin at 9AM. We'll be hiking the hill, it's pretty short. There are no intersections, but you need to stay in your lane. Unlimited push, 4 man heats. Helmet and gloves required. Course video

The Monkey Business Slide Jam
Next up will be a little slide competition. This will be up in Waterloo. It will be open jam format, so run hard wheels or soft, whichever you prefer.

The Chimpanzee Championship
Depending on numbers and time, we'll have another little race in North Waterloo. It's a very mellow run, beginner friendly. Unlimited push until first corner, 4 man heats. Helmet and gloves required. Course map and video

The Rumble in the Jungle
In the evening we'll have a race on a golf course/public access path. The course can be setup to be very technical or very easy, I'll decide based on the vibe of the day. 3 push start, 2 man heats. Helmet and gloves required.

The King Kong Festival of Doom!
The top 16 riders from the previous races will earn the opportunity to race in a Twilight ninja race. Speeds up to 55km/h going into a hairpin corner! Super fun! The moon will be illuminated 5.4% that night and there are no lights, so bring your night vision. It's a closed road, so there's no traffic to worry about. Unlimited push start, 4 man heats. Helmet and gloves required, leathers optional.

Entry for each event is two dollars. Part of the money from each event will go into a pot to be divided between the top competitors overall. Think of it as a skate pentathlon!

All of these events will be novice friendly (with the exception of the final race), so come on out!

PM me (with your real name) AND post in this thread to be added to the racer's list.

Any questions?

Addendum and updates:
I've got a big place, so people can crash the night before or after the races. Just let me know.
If there's interest, we can hook up a gnarly freestyle burger eating sesh at my place, too.
