There are several annual toronto events that still need to be put on though out the summer.  We are waiting for the poop chute to be finished.  Here are some of the up coming events, the dates will be announced when ever we figure them out.  I also though it would be cool to set something up around the boardmeeting.

SLIDE SCHOOL - Always a good time + slope style
POKER RUN - 20 + kms of madness
KING OF THE POOPer - SCARIEST ONTARIO DH RACE

If there is enough interest, i was thinking about a longboard marathon down Yonge st.  The longest race on the longest road, 42 kms.  I think it would have to start really late a night, so by the time we got downtown the roads would be empty.  There is quite a bit of down hill and think it would take about 3 hours.

I like the idea of the late night Yonge Street Race. It takes about 2 hours from steeles (at dawn when there are no cars and you can go on the road). If people were pushing the whole way with all their might then it might be possible in an hour or an hour and a half.

What is the poker run?

The Yonge street race is going to be a full Marathon, 26.2 mi or 42 km. It's not just a north to south race. I don't know about you, but I have a hard time pushing with all my might for 42 km's. It took us long enough to skate from Pickering to Guelph, just over 115km if I remember properly. Just over 10-11 hours.

How would that work? Start at the lakeshore skate up to steeles and then race back down? That would be a long tough painfull race for sure.

Sign me up. I would love to have a go at something like this. Hopefully there's a good show of hands in terms of people interested

This is why it's a marathon. Marathon's aren't easy.
