Race smart, not fast

It just so happens to be raining all week just when I'm in Montreal on skate vacation.

So to spend my time wisely I've been working at the Kebbek shop making boards for all you fine folks.

I'm honored to have this opportunity to first hand get an appreciation for just how
much work there is put into making a longboard.

Kebbek's standards are high and their reputation even higher.

Ian's a rad guy and I'm happy to be putting some of my own sweat into his boards.

So as of 2008 here are some changes...

2008 models have a bamboo bottom ply with new graphic
Devil's toy models are still being made as well
Smoothcut's are 10ply
All drop thru's except the smoothcut and hairpin are under flush mount
The Revenger is drilled new and old skool

If you haven't yet seen the new "Switchback" here it is.

Hairpin style shape and concave.  The bamboo is vertically laminated with carbonized bamboo (dark brown) no relation to carbon fibre, it basicaly means it has been intentionally "rusted" but it is carbonization not oxidation.

Niko Desmarais

Ian Comishin

AJ and I decided to start fooling around with a shape idea we've had since the Revenger was first released.

Here it is...

The Katana??

Random shots of the shop

What's the difference between the new Comishin and the old Caften's?

Also, can we get a closer look at the new Comishin graphic?

I'm pretty sure the Hairpins have a bamboo bottom similar to the Revenger.
